Does Mrs. Prinino live at school?

No, I do go home and have a life of my own, believe it or not!  Here is a little bit about me...

I was born in raised in a rural town just south of Buffalo, NY.  I am the oldest of 6 children in my family.  My oldest brother is a Junior at the Merchant Marine Academy, but everyone else is still at home.  I am very familiar with long winters filled with lots of snow!  When I am home, I enjoy snowmobiling and skiing with my friends and family.  During high school, I enjoyed participating in the swim team, school musicals, student government, and band.  I worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor throughout the year.

Upon graduation from high school, I attended Grove City College located about an hour north of Pittsburgh, PA.  I earned my bachelor's degree in History and Secondary Education.  I completed my student teaching with 7th graders in World History at Slippery Rock Middle School.   During college,  I was a member of the Student Government Association, the Dance Troupe, the Marching Band, and the Education Honorary.  I also worked as a lifeguard, substitute teacher, and as a Nurse's assistant in the Student Health Center.

In January 2006, I returned to live with my parents in Springville, NY while I began my Master's program at Regent University.  I decided that I wanted to be able to help those students with disabilities in my classroom, so I pursued Special Education.  I just completed my final project for that degree this summer :)

On May 28, 2006 I married my high school sweetheart.  We both attended our graduation ceremonies a week before our wedding.  I taught World Geography in Fredericksburg, VA last year and we moved to Pensacola in January 2007.

I have had fun exploring all the things to do in this area.  During my spare time, I like to read books, shop for just about anything, travel, and be with family.  My recent project has been training our new puppy, Duke, who joined our family in June.  We are all enjoying the wonderful weather and beautiful scenery!  I am excited to be a part of Booker T. Washington High School and am looking forward to having a great year with all of you.
